Last updated: April 4, 2026
Altiora App ("Altiora," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Altiora mobile application (the "App"), a social confidence training product. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
By using Altiora, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
Altiora App is based in California, United States. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at altioraapp@gmail.com. We do not maintain a public mailing address; all correspondence is handled via email.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and an authentication identifier from our auth provider (Supabase). We do not store your password — authentication is handled securely by Supabase.
2.2 Onboarding Information
During onboarding, you may provide:
- Your age range
- Your self-identified communication archetype or goals
- Preferences about the areas of social confidence you want to improve
2.3 Usage and Progress Data
As you use the App, we collect:
- Lessons and terms you view or complete
- Quiz questions you answer and whether your answers were correct
- Energy balance, streaks, and progression milestones
- Session timestamps and in-app events needed to run features (e.g., daily energy refresh)
- Questions you flag as inaccurate
2.4 User-Generated Content
If you use features that allow you to write notes, journal entries, or free-text responses, we store that content so you can access it later.
2.5 Subscription and Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive a subscription status (active / expired / trial used) and a transaction identifier from the payment processor.
2.6 Device and Technical Data
We automatically collect limited technical information, including:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Error logs and diagnostic information needed to keep the App running
- Approximate usage timestamps
2.7 AI-Generated Content
Quiz questions and certain explanations are generated using third-party AI services (OpenAI). When generating content, we may send non-identifying context (such as a lesson term or topic) to the AI provider. We do not send your email, account identifier, or personally identifying information to AI providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Personalize your learning experience and track your progress
- Generate and serve quiz content
- Manage subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical errors
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information only with the following categories of providers, strictly to operate the App:

5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.

- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: (a) performance of our contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, (c) your consent where required, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
7. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab inside the App. Account deletion permanently removes your personal data, progress, and user-generated content from our active systems, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 5.
8. Children's Privacy
Altiora is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact altioraapp@gmail.com.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on our database, and strict access controls. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Altiora is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
